We spoke to Sonia Vinden to find out what makes them so successful and discuss howwell the team sell houses in the Ripon area. Most Instrumental Woman in Residential Sales 2017 - UK Before setting up Vinden Estates, Sonia worked as a Branch Manager for two other companies. She feels that it has been highly rewarding to open up her own estate agency. Sonia believes the job is pretty much the same as when she started with customer service being at the top of what the agency offers. Sonia outlines her wealth of experience to us, discussing how there has been a massive increase in women in senior roles since she started out. “As of June 2018, I will have been an estate agent in Ripon for thirty years and indeed some clients think I have been in every house. Things have also changed a lot, particularly in the way that when I started, all Estate Agents in senior roles were men but now there are many ladies in the top roles. Indeed, nowadays, buyers and sellers seem to like dealing with female estate agents.” Sonia explains that the business has become increasingly successful and how the firm aims to implement its current strategy of focusing on customer service and putting the client first. She also discusses her leadership style and the faith she has in her staff. “The business has been increasingly financially successful year on year since launch and our ongoing strategy is to continue to do much the same as we have been again with the focus on client care and customer service. “Overall, I work very hard and expect members of my team to do the same. Luckily, I have worked with my two members of staff for a long time so know they always give their best.” Looking ahead, there seems to be an exciting future for the firm. Sonia describes some upcoming projects that Vinden Estates is undertaking as well as highlighting the fact that clients have been satisfied by the service. “Recently, we were asked to market an agricultural smallholding, jointly with Ernie Sherwin Ltd. This extended to just under nine acres. Interest was very high and the property was sold by informal tender, reaching a record figure for agricultural land in the area.
