He explores how he works to drive this new venture to success. “Currently, I am CEO of Hinduja Renewables Energy Private Limited. It is a two-year-old organization in a very diversified global conglomerate. It feels like working in a start up in a large set up. I am driven by strong work ethics and strive to ensure that we deliver best possible value to our customers. We are penchant for technology, emphasis on employee training and empowerment and strict safety and quality adherence. Being an Independent power producer, most of our clients are DISCOM or large industrial and commercial power users. “Personally, I strongly believe my past experience has helped me to grow the organization in last two years to a significant market player. I am building this organization and business from scratch. My past experience of working in Business Development, technology, Sales, Design and Engineering has helped me to understand the nuances of building the business as P&L leader. My professional and academic experience has helped me to understand all technical and commercial aspects for building and running the business successfully.” As CEO of Hinduja Renewables Pvt and Head for Solar Business at Hinduja Group, Kapil is responsible for building the business from scratch. Since he formed the company he has worked hard to raise funds, and he acquired 22.3 MWp from a French developer and 85 MWp from leading PE firms in India, and together they are now working on entire business structuring. All this was done with very limited support, no adviser on our side during M&A and no CFO also. Alongside his work setting up the firm, Kapil is also leading the group in all due diligence (financial, land, technical, tax, and legal), as well as SPA negotiations. He explores how he leads his team to excellence by supporting them and working with them and their industry peers to ensure a satisfactory outcome for all involved. “When it comes to leading my team, I believe in them and am always setting up stretched targets for everyone. The vision and mission of the organization is clear to all team members and they are empowered to take their own decisions within certain boundaries. With my people management skills, I am able to work well from site supervisor/ Engineer to Chairman of the company.
