April is the CEO of an Inclusion and HR consulting firm, Crayon Strategies Inc. Previously, she was the Nova Scotia Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Senior Executive Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Justice and Executive Director of People and Culture, and former Partner with Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette. She holds an EMBA from Saint Mary's University and is a Certified Executive Coach. She serves on several Boards, including the Neptune Theatre and the International Women’s Forum.
