Jon Paul Rodríguez holds a degree in biology from Universidad Central de Venezuela and a doctorate on ecology and evolutionary biology from Princeton University. He is ecology Professor at the Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Científicas, co-founder and President of Provita (leading Venezuelan conservation organization established in 1987), and Chair (2016-2025) of IUCN Species Survival Commission, the largest volunteer conservation-science network, certified by Guinness World Records.
